Plasti dip is liquid rubber in spray and liquid form. Its uses are many, as it seals, insulates, colors, and protects the car and motorcycle. It is anti-slip and surface reinforcing, insulating for cables and pipes.
To spray Plasti dip correctly with a gun, make sure you have the right nozzle, low pressure, and adjustable quantity. Apply at least 6 good "coats" for better results.
Before proceeding with painting using Plasti dip, it is good for the surface to be clean and free of previous polishing or wax application, otherwise it may not adhere properly. Also, if there has been a factory paint job, at least one year should have passed to avoid problems with the varnish.
- During application, it is recommended to hold the spray or gun in a vertical position and keep a distance of 10-15 cm from the surface. Also, it is best to spray in a space without air drafts.
- Before painting, clean the surface well and check that there is no moisture. After applying Plasti dip, you can wash your car or motorcycle about 10 days later without worry.
- It is recommended to apply the special Dip Protect wax every one and a half months.
Attention: Avoid active foam when washing the car. Contact with gasoline can fade the Plasti dip, so it is advisable to inform gas station employees.
