The book "Learning and Practicing Mathematics for 5th Grade (Volumes A and B)" is aimed at students, parents, and educators. Its structure and organization follow that of the school (Student's Book and Workbook) and works in parallel with it.
Volume A contains four units, which are divided into 24 chapters. Each chapter consists of two parts:
- Learning: where the student approaches mathematical concepts and discovers new knowledge. It is supported by theory appropriately shaped for the students. It is enhanced with extensions and examples.
- Exercises to Solve: where through visual exercises and problems the student consolidates the new knowledge and "builds" upon it. The exercises display a gradually increasing level of difficulty. They are accompanied by examples that aid in understanding the requirements. They include topics from mathematics competitions, suitably adapted to the cognitive level of the 5th grade.
The units conclude with review chapters for assessment. Following are the solutions – answers to all of the above.
