    Despite the awards and excellent reviews that this book has gathered, personally I judge that its story is shallow (unfortunately, neither the first nor the only book with a similar fate), its ending abrupt and incomprehensible, and most importantly, its illustrations are horrifying, unless someone believes that futuristic nightmares are suitable to accompany children's stories that are intended for such young ages.
