Kefalonia is a lush island with plentiful rainfall in the winter and a long, dry, and sunny ripening season in the summer. This natural rhythm is ideal for producing perfectly ripened grapes, with concentration, balanced acidity, and clear varietal expression.
The Gentilini vineyards are located near the village of Minies, on chalky soils over a limestone subsoil, creating the ideal terroir for winemaking grapes. Over 50 acres are cultivated with Mavrodaphne Kefalonias, Moschofilero, and Syrah varieties.
Robola is cultivated on 50 acres in the PDO zone of the island, employing sustainable farming methods, avoiding the use of herbicides and pesticides. The vineyards grow in full harmony with olive trees, fig trees, and almond trees, surrounded by wild thyme, sage, and oregano.
PGI Aenos Slopes. Mavrodaphne Kefalonias 100%. Own vineyards in Minies Kefalonias, with a yield not exceeding 300 kg/acre. The crushed berries are fermented in open tanks and gently pressed in a traditional press. After a 5-month stay on the lees, the wine is bottled unfiltered in limited bottles.
