Pigs are lovable creatures, even if they live in muddy places. However, on the global socio-animal scale, pigs are the poor cousins of horses and cattle. They are a type of provincial ("hillbilly").
What else are Portugal, Italy, Greece, and Spain but the underdeveloped, the pigs of Europe? As for Ireland, it has always been an English colony with white inhabitants, a Southern country in the West. Therefore, Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece, and Spain are the PIIGS, the pigs of Europe - with a double I for emphasis.
During their official meetings, representatives of major European financial institutions use the derogatory term PIIGS to refer to the Mediterranean pigs, which must, however, remain in Europe in order to continue being exploited.
Today, we need to invent a Europe that does not see itself as a "great power," as an aircraft carrier transporting bombers for colonial wars. Europe has the unique ability to adapt and accept.
If the pigs awaken, they can build a Europe that will be completely different from the German Europe of fog and gloom. After all, with pigs, nothing goes to waste.
The aim of this book is to formulate a hypothesis for discussion, but also to present a real opportunity for the countries of the global South, which can view the PIIGS and, in general, the Mediterranean countries as an example capable of thwarting the plans of the "global corporation"; the opportunity to create in a self-determined way the ability to live off their resources and from their "poverty" in contrast to the deceptive wealth of quantitative economic growth imposed by the powerful of the planet, who cause destruction and generate destitution.
