Description

Reach the maximum performance of PCIe 4.0. The intelligent thermal control of the internal controller offers top power performance, while maintaining tremendous speed and efficiency, to always keep you at the top of your game.

Maximized PCIe 4.0 Speed

Huge speed boost. 40% and 55% higher read/write speeds than the 980 PRO - up to 1,400K/1,550K IOPS, while the sequential read/write speeds up to 7,450/6,900 MB/s reach almost the maximum performance of PCIe 4.0.

Pioneering Power Performance

More power performance. Higher performance usually consumes more energy. The 990 PRO uses less power with up to 50% improved performance per Watt compared to the 980 PRO. This low-power design makes it possible to achieve maximum PCIe 4.0 performance with optimal power efficiency.

Smart Thermal Solution

Speed beyond heat. The nickel-coated controller and the innovative thermal control algorithm manage heat for unwavering performance. The heat spreader controls the heat of the NAND chip, while the Dynamic Thermal Guard maintains optimal temperatures.

The champion manufacturer

The best gaming experience. An improvement of over 55% in random performance allows for faster loads for ultimate gaming realism on PC games, PS5, and DirectStorage.

This review is about the capacity: 4000 GB

One of the best, if not the best, NVME PCI.E 4.0 drives, just update the firmware to avoid any problem with Samsung Magician software, since the firmware included in many drives are an old one that has issues and kills the drives off. so far it has been rocking in my laptop perfectly.

It runs like a bullet. When you buy it, do the necessary tests/benchmarks to see if the values match those on the market. For me, I needed to make changes in the BIOS and then I saw a 30+% increase. I have the software installed and it goes very fast in everything.

It runs like a bullet. When you buy it, do the necessary tests/benchmarks to see if the values match those on the market. For me, I needed to make changes in the BIOS and then I saw a 30+% increase. I have the software installed and it goes very fast in everything.

Top of the top for me. The only bad thing is that the prices have now gone out of control, otherwise I would replace the Samsung 980 Pro 1T I have as a secondary, with another 990!

I have 6 inside an F8 SSD Plus in TRAID (10TB).
Machine guns. I haven't noticed anything negative, even at the temperature level everything is normal!

Quality, very fast and reliable. One of the few things in the world of computers that doesn't need research, you just get it.

I had bought the 4TB version and since I was satisfied, I got this one too for another computer I have, simply a very good drive.
