Sikaflex ® – 291i is a thixotropic one-component polyurethane sealant specially developed for maritime applications, curing with atmospheric moisture to form a durable elastomer. Additionally, it meets the slow fire propagation criteria of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Application Fields:

Sikaflex ® – 291i is suitable for maritime applications such as forming elastic joints resistant to vibrations. It can also be used in a variety of interior and exterior sealing applications, with excellent adhesion to common materials used in maritime constructions, such as wood, metals, primers and paints (two-component), ceramics, and plastics (GRP, etc.).

Important Note: Sikaflex ® – 291i should not be used for sealing plastics that are prone to cracking under environmental stress (e.g., Plexiglas, polycarbonates, etc.).
