Close to a year with the Google Pixel 7 Pro, I can say that it is overall an excellent device regarding daily needs; it will not disappoint you. In the camera category, it is flagship, photos and videos with the main lens at an impeccable level, as well as the selfie. The Tensor G2 processor is nothing special; it will definitely cover your daily needs, however, it is a power-hungry processor, and especially if you use data more than Wi-Fi (you might be on the road all day and need to move with data), it will significantly drain the battery. Slow charging in general; I come from Realme, which had 67W really fast charging. At first, I didn't like it much, but as it turned out, I prefer slow charging as it rewards you with better and longer battery life.

Two negatives. Firstly, because the processor is power-hungry, in the summer, the phone will raise temperatures, and it will ruin the battery, especially if you are on data all day (you will need a second charge during the day). Secondly and lastly, is the phone's antenna for Wi-Fi and signal. The antenna is small and quite weak. For a phone that belonged to the flagship category in the fall of '22 when it was released, Google should have put a better modem for the price category of the phone

15/10/24: Now, after the latest update and the installation of Android 15, WiFi calling works in Greece, at least with Vodafone, which I have.

In the year 2024, this specific phone at the price it is offered (around 600 euros) is simply the best! I am one of the "lucky" ones who purchased it recently, and it now has resolved its previous issues, with 5G and VoLTE functioning perfectly. The only feature that is still not available in Greece is WiFi calling (unless the device is rooted).
Other than that, the phone is truly incredible! Amazing 2k display with adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz, strong, clear, and rich sound, fast everywhere and always, stock Android is a delight, very satisfactory battery, noticeably lighter compared to other flagship phones, and of course, cameras that are beyond criticism!
As for the "negatives" of the phone, initially, there is the lack of official support in Greece, the not-so-customizable launcher, relatively slow charging, the absence of a 3.5mm headphone jack, and its small storage space. Personally, since I work with cloud storage and send everything there, I wasn't concerned about the capacity. Also, detailed customization (icons, etc.) doesn't bother me (and besides, anyone who wants can download a launcher from the Play Store), and I believe that slower charging is better since, as many say, it contributes to a longer battery life. As for wired headphones, anyone who wants can simply buy a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter at minimal cost and the issue is resolved.
From there on, the phone competes with devices that are double or more in price! It has many smart features and settings to make your daily use even easier and more enjoyable, and it can be tailored to your needs. I faced absolutely no issues with connectivity (Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC, etc.), nor with signal, calls, etc. The battery easily lasts a day with relatively heavy use.
And something I noticed that impressed me about how "smart" the phone is: I set an alarm for 07:45 in the morning, plug the phone to charge at 00:30 at night, and it tells me that it will perform gradual slow charging, which will complete by 07:45 in the morning, in order to contribute to the battery's lifespan! (of course, this is an option that you can choose not to "accept" if you don't want it)
Now regarding the cameras, as a professional photographer, I am truly impressed by the performance of this phone both in photos and videos, as well as the editing tools it offers in combination with AI. And I repeat, all of this at a cost of 600 euros, at a time when devices with similar capabilities have at least double the price!
One downside I must mention here, although it probably doesn't concern a large percentage of users, is that during 4k video recording at 60fps, the phone heats up, and after about 5 minutes of continuous recording, it drops the "quality" of the video to 30fps. At 30fps, it has never caused me any temperature issues.
In conclusion, I give it 5 stars without a doubt, and truly if someone is not concerned about the negatives I mentioned or does not have a desire for a specific phone brand, they should buy it without hesitation!

The mobile is bulky, one of the largest sizes you can find on the market. It is somewhat difficult to handle with one hand, it gets tiring after a while, often requiring the use of both hands.

The photos are very good, specifically the photos from the main camera. The photos from the ultra-wide lens and the zoom lens are good in good lighting conditions, but the quality noticeably drops at night, it is evident that the lenses do not have sensors that can capture enough light. The front camera takes satisfactory photos, but nothing amazing. The video has improved compared to previous models, it is satisfactory, but unfortunately, when the main lens is not used, the quality noticeably decreases. Google follows the same strategy with this model as it did with previous ones: average hardware with the software trying to improve the mediocre results of the hardware.

The screen is quite good, the QHD resolution is ideal for the size of the mobile. The brightness outdoors is satisfactory.

The call quality is very good. The speaker is so loud that most of the time the volume is not comfortable at the highest level and you have to lower it. Also, the issue with dropped calls seems to have been fixed with the updates.

The speaker has volume, but the sound is somewhat poor. It lacks depth and this lack is noticeable, especially when compared to other devices, even mid-range ones from other companies.

The battery is average to good. That is, without heavy usage, it will last the day, but it's not something amazing. It depends on the usage, it may need to be charged during the day.

The software is what one expects in a Pixel device, simple and clean Android without third-party apps that cannot be deleted.

Overall, it is a device that can be appreciated more by power users and Pixel fanboys. It is not bad, but for the average user, a Samsung device that offers a more comprehensive package of experience would probably be more suitable.

I have had this device for about 4 months and I would like to share my opinion after my experience with other Samsung, Xiaomi, and Apple devices. I will not go into detail about the positive features, as they are already known, such as the camera, the screen, the sound, the speed, etc. Instead, I will focus on the disadvantages that, if I had known from the beginning, I would have chosen a different device.

Unfortunately, I did not have time to do thorough market research.

Battery: The battery, with a full charge in the morning, lasts about 3-4 hours with continuous screen usage and basic use of social apps, email, etc. If I also use the camera during the day, the battery life decreases even more. I had not experienced my device shutting down due to battery in many years, and it happened now with the Pixel.

Charging: Although it supports fast charging, the charging is not as fast as it could be for a device of this category. It takes about 2 hours to charge from 5% to 100%, while if you have used other devices like Xiaomi that support super-fast charging, you will be very disappointed with this aspect. Although I understand that slower charging can help with battery life in the long run, I would prefer a better user experience during the years, even if the battery drains faster later on.

Signal and calls (the "cherry on top"): All the previous disadvantages may not have bothered me as much, but the signal and calls greatly disappointed me. Immediately after purchasing the device, I would miss 6 out of 10 calls, and the message to the caller would say that it was turned off without informing me about those calls (COSMOTE). The VOLTE service did not work from the beginning, which is the service that allows simultaneous use of the phone and the internet when you are not connected to Wi-Fi, something that I consider very useful. Additionally, the VOWIFI service does not work, so I cannot receive calls via Wi-Fi when the signal is weak. All these problems required prior research and the use of tools like Shizuku and IMS to resolve, except for the 5G support that is not available yet. However, the average user cannot dedicate time to address these issues, and they will not be able to adjust it every time there is an update from scratch. (Note: For users experiencing issues with VOLTE, even if they have installed Shizuku, they should know that it is an issue with the APN and they need to add another one, information that can be found in various social groups).

So, we have the following problems: battery, charging, calls, and signal, and for all these negatives, you have to pay €868. Quite expensive!

(The camera is excellent, but do not expect the same for videos. Anyway, you know that when you buy an Android, you cannot have everything perfect, not that Apple is okay in everything, but it definitely has better video quality.)

The phone is UN-BE-LIEV-ABLE. Pixel with eyes closed now. Coming from Xiaomi, the difference between the two is day and night. I won't even talk about the specs numbers (how many GHz processor, how many MP camera, etc.) because they don't matter anymore. What matters is how well the software works with the hardware, and Google is going against Apple in this.

Before I write anything, I just want to warn that because Greece is not an "official" country that supports the Pixel, there are some basic losses like Wifi calling, VoLTE, also I don't know what's going on with the warranty. There are also some optional goodies missing like Call screening, Hold for me, etc. For me, none of these were dealbreakers and the phone is already fantastic without them.

First of all, it is made of premium materials and it shows. It is clear visually that it is a flagship. However, you must definitely get a case for 2 reasons. Firstly, because it is made of glass, which means it collects fingerprints and slips incredibly. Secondly, because the camera bar is very susceptible to scratches. There is no space for an SD card, a second SIM, or a headphone jack. Unfortunately, this is the norm, but there are solutions (extra space in the cloud, the phone supports eSIM, and there are wireless headphones). Its speakers are very satisfactory with a very clear stereo sound. It has NFC, of course, but something I miss coming from Xiaomi is the IR Blaster. The fingerprint is on the screen and optical, I have no complaints but no compliments either. There is also the option of face unlock for greater convenience (but not so reliable since it only uses the front camera). The screen has a very good resolution and the phone is very comfortable to hold for its size. It helps that they have placed the power button above the volume buttons instead of below. It is easier to hold with one hand that way.

As for the features: We have the second-generation Tensor processor, which doesn't seem to reach the most powerful Snapdragons or Apple's in tests, but practically in everyday use the phone flies. It overheats a bit at first because it learns AI and all the summer months. Quite challenging. However, it almost never lags, all apps open and close lightning fast, and heavier tasks like gaming are fine. I haven't tried heavy games, of course, and I don't intend to. The software is generally minimalist, stock android, without too much. However, no matter how much I write, they cannot capture how wonderful an experience it is, because where Tensor stands out is of course in AI. From processing photos, videos, to learning when you charge it and which apps you use throughout the day to optimize battery usage, this phone teaches you, and I love it more and more over time. And it's these little things, like being able to say "Silence" to an alarm and stop it. A bunch of things like that! Of course, I must emphasize that half or more of the goodies promised by Google are not available in our country. I hope in the future they will recognize us as an official country so that features like call screening will come here as well. 5G and VoLTE are now officially supported so there is no need to root to enable them. Wifi calling remains, and it requires a process but can be done, even without root. The battery easily lasts over a day with normal use, and a little less than a day with heavy use. Charging is slow, and that is a complaint I have about the phone in general. As if slow charging wasn't enough, it requires a PD3.0 PPS charger to reach maximum wattage.

Separately, I want to mention the camera because at this moment there is no phone on the market that takes better photos (with the main camera) than the Pixel. What your eye sees is what it captures, and the best part is that you don't need to adjust anything to take a good photo. Just point and shoot. There are some settings for those who are interested, and the phone can shoot in RAW, but in 90% of cases, the best shot is automatic. There is also an ultrawide lens that is very good but not spectacular, and a telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom that is spectacular. Especially thanks to the image processing algorithm, you can take photos with 30x zoom and they come out very clear. Video is also excellent, although it has not yet reached the level of the iPhone, it can go up to 4K60 on all cameras (I have it at 4K30 for 10-bit HDR). The front camera takes very good shots in adequate lighting, but admittedly struggles in less light. There are also some tricks thanks to Tensor like long exposure which is very interesting.

In summary: The phone is worth the money and more. It is recommended especially for those who want a) a flagship experience and do not want to spend a fortune b) a simple minimalist stock Android with frequent updates c) a phone that takes extraordinary photos without much effort d) all of the above. However, as I mentioned before, it is not "officially" supported in Greece and you miss out on some basic and many extra goodies, it's a bit like getting a Ferrari and driving it on the dirt road of your village. Still, it's worth it.

EDIT(05/04/2023): After 2 months, the mobile phone continued to have issues with calls even after the March update, which included VoLTE. I returned it as a faulty device and hope to get my money back so I can buy another phone. I feel quite disappointed because, as I said, it is an incredible device but it fails to perform basic functions and I have needlessly gone through a lot of trouble trying to find a solution. Therefore, I do not recommend this phone. If we look at Google's supported countries, then buy it blindly (after making sure it does not have any basic issues). Also, for those who give it 5 stars and write in their reviews "It has issues, but with root, a program, etc. it can be fixed," you mislead the average buyer and the ways you suggest to solve the problem do not solve anything, they just hide the issues this EXPENSIVE device has and no one should have to go through these processes when they spend so much money. The mobile phone is a masterpiece, no doubt about it. But if you are in non-supported countries by Google, then you have an issue. First of all, everyone said that it does not have 5G in non-supported countries and I thought that 4G was good enough when I bought it. But my issue is the following: When you buy a mobile phone, especially one that is so expensive, the minimum it should do is to make and receive calls. Well, in my case, many times it does not even show a notification that I missed a call. It's like it never happened. And on the other end, it either shows busy or it does not even ring. Completely unacceptable. And the problem is not from the settings or from the mobile network (I have Cosmote, What's up). I believe it comes from the fact that we are not on Google's list and some settings are locked. There are rumors that it may be fixed with the next March update (I have the latest update from February). Otherwise, the next solution is root, which is not difficult and is safe, but it is completely tragic to spend so much money and be put through this process.

*As for any other function, it is perfect (camera, screen, etc.) but I will not comment on these because there are countless videos that can explain them better than me. Hoping they will fix it on their own, I give it 3 stars. I would recommend anyone who wants to buy it to wait and research it thoroughly before making the decision to buy it. I will return with an edit if the problem is fixed in the next two months.
