First contact with the author and I have to say that I fell in love with her writing and I dare to say that along with Mia Sheridan, she now belongs to my top duo! This is a romance that unfolds in a small town with very romantic and cottage life vibes, while the protagonists are in their 30s-40s. Naomi, a bride who runs away from her wedding, finds herself in this small town because of her twin sister, who leaves her 11-year-old daughter in Naomi's care. With nothing but a suitcase and nowhere to stay, she meets the grumpy and difficult Knox, who offers her his help. The author's writing is so magical! It's been years since I read a book that transported me and took me on such a journey without tiring me with descriptions. It's incredible how many images the text creates for you and how much you devour it with all your heart! Even though it's a long read, it was worth every last page and I felt like I wanted more! The romance was predictable but so sweet and intense, slow burn and a bit of haters to lovers. Also, what I really liked was the secondary characters who were vivid and very well written! Only the ending I found a bit rushed, I would have liked to experience them a bit more at their peak. It was an excellent book that took me on a journey and I highly recommend it! I can't wait for the next ones as it is part of a trilogy!
