They can be fitted and removed in approximately 3 minutes and are suitable for occasional use over short distances, at a maximum speed of 40 km/h. Use them only on snow or ice, not on dry roads.

They are fitted in pairs, on at least the driven wheels, and are suitable for vehicles weighing less than 2 tonnes. After use, wash them and store them dry. They cannot be repaired; if they are cut or show wear across 40% of the tyre width, they must not be used.
