In the book The Truth and the Real, discussions, talks, and some Q&A sessions are included that uniquely place and clarify the difference between reality, what is real, and truth.
At the beginning, there are three discussions between Krishnamurti and university physics professor Dr. David Bohm. In the first discussion, the significance of the three terms - reality, real, truth - is clarified, while in the subsequent discussions, the concepts are further developed and some provocative questions are raised regarding the possibilities one has to realize the truth and the kind of energy required for such a task.
The book concludes with some questions and answers that shed light on everyday life problems: What is the right way to earn a living, the problem of pain, the issue of egoism, etc. As always, Krishnamurti does not provide ready-made solutions, convenient answers, and comfort; he helps each person see for themselves, with stunning clarity, that the main human problems can only be solved in one way by each individual: by themselves and only for themselves, since everyone must be "a student and a teacher," "the light of their own self."
