It was recommended to me by someone who has had it for over 20 years, while also having cheap Chinese ones (in which they had to replace some parts). In this one, no replacement was needed. Of course, it also has spare parts in case of accidents. It is extremely sturdy, although I haven't tested it in a storm, so I can't say. Unfortunately, it has also become more expensive, like all products today.

I have never had a lamp like this before, so I don't have a particular opinion, but its construction seems very good. It doesn't go out at all (I took it outside with very strong wind) and it has a nice opening system to light it up. The only downside is that if you accidentally turn the wick upside down, you lose it and you have to get dirty with oil to put it back in place. I tried using olive oil, it lights up at first but once it burns because it is thick, the wick doesn't pull it and it goes out. I also tried with diesel and it works very well, it just smells a little bad. When I filled it up, it produced a lot of soot, but despite that, the glass didn't get blackened - it has a very good exhaust system.

Excellent quality of construction, with a higher quality compared to similar products of non-EU origin. The company is synonymous with quality and provides full support for spare parts. The crystal helps in providing clean and clear light.
