Important information: The Can Bus system (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication protocol between the car's subsystems and the main processor (CPU).

First-generation Can Bus systems recognize whether the bulb is good or burnt out and notify us with the appropriate indication on the dashboard. In LED technology, the consumption is very low, which often leads to issues with LED bulbs in new cars with the Can Bus system. For this reason, there are special bulbs available.

The Can Bus LED bulb contains a small resistor that increases its consumption to fool the Can Bus system into not reporting a burnt-out bulb.

In new car models, it is advisable to consult the dealership or read the car manual to see what the minimum consumption required is.
