Κρέμονται μέσα σε ένα κουτάκι πλαστικό οι τρείς μπαταρίες που τροφοδοτούν με ρεύμα το αστέρι.
Αυτό το κουτάκι κρέμεται πίσω από το δένδρο για να μη φαίνεται. Έχει διακόπτη και ανάβεις το φως στο αστέρι ή το σβήνεις.
