If you don't know how to build your own PC and modify the BIOS, stay away, you'll just cook it to death on its default settings.

I grabbed it for $205 on sale, the best value-for-money CPU you can get if you have a DDR4 budget. Just make sure to do a proper undervolt in the BIOS from day one and it will last you without any of the problems people say it has like instability issues and whatever. There is a small (0.00%) chance you might get a CPU from their defective batch which is notorious for oxidizing over time, there's nothing you can do about that. With today's quality control, I don't think it's an issue, buying a brand new G.Skill Ripjaws RAM for example where 1 out of 2 sticks is always defective, now that's an issue.

I've had it for a few months and everything seems to be working fine, it destroys everything and can do much more than just games, as long as you keep it cool, which even the cheapest AIO can handle if you undervolt it properly.

One of the best vfm processors. Fast and easy to cool. After 2 years of use, nothing has changed in performance or any other area.

The first year!! (I had 5/5 stars) Beast of a processor!!! I approve, I used it for 1 year in heavy multitasking, games, cameras, and many programs open. However, I would have been much more satisfied if there wasn't a problem with the chip of these specific processors (13-14 gen) which, as it turned out, caused problems and blue screens during games and very heavy applications. Maybe I should have gone for an AMD 7800-7900 3D... However, I have done Intel's tests and no registered problems have appeared on the chip, what can I say.

Amazing...what can we say...perfect for gaming...and it really sleeps...without overclocking....with Noctua air cooling, no temperature issues...it has nothing to envy to the 14th generation i5.

Made a new gaming PC and initially I was choosing between an i7 13600K or this model and for my use case i got this. Great thermals, no issues at all, great gaming experience, great general stability. Bought at 330ish euros and quite happy with it.

I slapped a 50 euro air cooler on it and that has been sufficient for cooling. Around mid 30s in idle, highest i've seen in 2+ hour sessions of Cyberpunk 2077 at Ultra, Destiny 2 at High / Ultra, God of War and Baldur's Gate has been low 60s Celsius.

Very happy with this purchase. I would recommend for sure.

Very powerful processor, just needs a good cooling system.
Two things you need to pay attention to if you get it:
First, the power consumption easily reaches 181w (Intel recommended), don't be fooled by the 125w TDP it says.
Second, some motherboards come with BIOS settings that unlock the processor and exceed 200w.

It is a very powerful processor for its price. It was installed in a z790 with 32gb ram and rx 6700xt and it is a beast. All games run on epic settings at over 150fps

I didn't have to tamper with the power supply like many say they had to, maybe it depends on each motherboard.

The temperatures are very good, something I also read that it rises to high temperatures. Something I was worried about because after a previous water cooling leak, I only use air cooling now. It cools down with an air cooler, a dark rock pro 4, without any problem. Idle at 40-45 and in games at 60-70 no matter how long I play.

Beast, but needs good cooling.
Also, adjust the power consumption from the motherboard each time.
I noticed that in games (Pubg with rtx3080, z790) you can have it in powersaving mode without losing fps (I have it at 130-150) and temperatures at 35-45 degrees.
In performance mode, it reached 250 (+) fps (useless) and 75+ in temperature.
So just be careful about that.
I didn't need to mess with overclocking/underclocking and simply from the tuning application of the azrock z790 motherboard, you can change the power as needed and it adjusts on its own. I think most motherboards have similar apps.

It was installed along with an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 cooling system. Idle temperatures range from 25-30 degrees and during demanding gaming with ultra settings on a 2k 165hz monitor, FPS never drop below 240 and the temperature doesn't go above 50 degrees! A fantastic processor for the price.

Top processor for all uses, combined with dark rock pro 4 and z790 gigabyte gaming x ax has an average consumption of 18w with simple use and temperatures of 30-45c. In a ten-minute benchmark in cinebench r23 (23400 points) it reached 83c and consumption of 150w 1.225v (limit from motherboard settings). In gaming (pubg) it barely reaches 50c with fans running at 500 rpm, meaning completely silent. It's worth buying from all perspectives, just be careful with the choice of cooler, otherwise you will have temperature issues. Also, motherboards 690 and older have made it a bit of a mess (excessive voltage) with the settings, so keep in mind that you will have to intervene to make it work properly.

The golden ratio of modern processors. Currently, as I write this, it operates at 6-10 Watts and a temperature of 32 degrees. The machine is like it's turned off. Max temp in Cinebench is 81 degrees (edit: with minimal undervolt it dropped to 70) with an H100i. I have no words!

The processor sleeps during gaming...2-5% utilization at 1440p with 6800XT and doesn't lag anywhere. With a 360mm radiator, it has very low temperatures, 35 idle, 55-60 gaming. Simply a beast
