Place the Hobo Stove in the fire base of the "Base Camp" kettle or the "Scout" to create an extremely efficient wood-burning stove.
The Hobo Stove can be used with any size pot or pan. It does not take up extra space and fits neatly inside the fire base of your kettle for storage.
- Made from 0.7mm stainless steel
- Weight 0.16kg / 0.35lb
- Height 67mm
- Diameter 152mm
Note: This Hobo stove does not fit the fire base of the smaller 'Trekker' kettle.
Instructions for Use:
- Place the Hobo stove in the fire base of the kettle with the wide rim of the Hobo sitting in the fire base.
- Position the circular hole of the fire base towards the wind. Place the large "feed" hole on the side of the Hobo stove away from the wind.
- Add fuel as needed through the upper side "feed" hole of the Hobo stove or through the hole in the fire base.
- Place a pot or pan of any size on the Hobo stove to cook.
Allow to cool completely before packing it away. Just flip the Hobo stove over and it fits perfectly in the fire base!
The fire base gets extremely hot, so whenever possible, place it on a non-combustible surface (like sand, gravel, or a large rock) or use our simple support under the fire base to insulate the ground from the heat.
In an emergency, the Hobo stove can be used without the fire base, by placing it directly on the ground.
It is recommended to use the Hobo stove with stainless steel bases, as aluminum fire bases can warp from intense heat.
