Description

Organic strong wheat flour for white bread. Perfectly milled, ideal for making bread and dough. All Doves Farm flours are not subjected to any chemical bleaching process. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

IDEAL FOR BAKING BREAD PRODUCTS

  • Mix 500g flour, 1 tsp yeast, 1 tsp sugar, and ½ tsp salt in a bowl.
  • Add 325ml water and when it starts to volume, add 1 tsp oil.
  • Knead by hand on a surface pressing 100 times. Avoid adding extra flour.
  • Cover the dough and leave it in a warm place until it doubles in size (about 1 hour).
  • Knead while pressing another 100 times.
  • Shape the dough and place it in a well-greased tin.
  • Cover the tin and leave it in a warm place for another 40 minutes.
  • Bake for 40-45’ in a preheated oven at 220°C.
  • Remove bread from the tin and let it cool.

Ingredients: flour (wheat, calcium carbonate, iron, thiamine, niacin), antioxidant (ascorbic acid). Organic farming. May contain traces of barley, rye.

Average Nutritional Value/100g: energy 1500kJ/354kcal, fats 1.9g - of which saturates 0.3g, carbohydrates 70g - of which sugars 0.3g, proteins 13g, salt 0.03g.

    Very happy to see that this product is available again! I had purchased it to try to see if it would work for my long ferment "no knead" bread, and while not quite as good as some of the hard wheat flours that I am used to in North America, this particular flour by Doves Farm was the best I can find so far in Greece.

    If you are looking for a flour that can perform well with long fermentation times, you will probably be happy with this.
