Tested on a Swift that was bubbling water into the expansion tank (initial stage of a blown head gasket, followed by swollen hoses, foam on the oil cap, and finally foam on the dipstick as the problem worsens.) Holts Wondarweld has instructions to flush the engine both before and after use!! It is also poured in the thermostat location for direct contact with the head gasket. The exhaust gas test kit showed that the gasket was repaired. Unfortunately, it did not last at all. It's better to isolate the heater radiator and replace the thermostat. Easy solutions do not work properly! When I used Holts Wondarweld, I also isolated the heater radiator by connecting the hoses together and changed the thermostat after application. I did not see it stick, though. The blue Holts Radweld temporarily clogged my heater radiator (I did not open the heater, which was a mistake when I used it) and after a year I saw that it had also stuck to the thermostat at the contact point! Maybe the instructions should mention replacing the coolant and flushing the cooling system
