Filament PETG White 2.85 mm 5000 g for 3D printers is a high-quality material, produced in the Netherlands. PETG is ideal for beginners as it is easy to print and offers a good balance between a printable and durable outcome.
The base material is very pure, so the transparent version provides semi-transparent results. In the Real series, PETG is also available in transparent colors. The printing temperature is higher, which means that the temperature resistance is greater compared to other materials. If excessive printing occurs, it is recommended to try a higher temperature.
PET-G (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) is a very strong, water-resistant thermoplastic compound with a beautiful glossy finish. It is a well-known plastic, mainly used in the production of soft drink bottles. This compound has become very popular in recent years for 3D printing, as it combines many of the excellent properties of ABS and PLA.
Printing with PETG is almost as easy as with PLA and requires a little more effort. The adhesion between the layers is excellent, making the final result very durable and flexible. PETG does not stick very well to other materials, as the glue does not have good adhesion.
Another excellent property of PETG is the almost glass-like transparency of neutral palettes, allowing for stunning transparent shades. PET-G can be printed with or without a heated bed with minimal or no warping. It is recommended to use a heated bed at 65 degrees, as the print may detach automatically during cooling. The optimal extrusion temperature is 245 degrees, as a lower temperature leads to more excessive printing and worse results.
