The paint may be thinned to improve its fluidity and increase its absorption capacity, and therefore, to make it easier to use. However, exceeding the recommended ratio given for the thinners may result in the product being less effective.
When the paint is thinned, the layer thickness is thinner when dried, after the thinners have evaporated, and additional layers may be needed to achieve the desired layer thickness.
Important tip: The thinners/cleaners used in certain paints may cause plastic to dissolve. Ensure that the painting tools are resistant to the type of thinner being used and be cautious with the plastic containers you use. Do not dispose of thinners in the drainage, but use the facilities available for this purpose.
