    The bars come with an adapter depending on the car. These adapters do screw securely onto the car, but like anything universal, they are of very low design quality. With the adapters, the distance between the bars and the roof increases, while the plastic covers do not fit well and at the first potholes the car hits, they fall off. At first, I would stop and pick them up and spend about half an hour putting each one back on. Now I have lost a couple on the highway and without them the bars make a lot of noise. I didn't even have it for a month and they ended up in the recycling bin
