Description

Description

Ensure the longevity of your solar water heater with the Copper Closed Circuit Expansion Vessel. The most reliable and durable solution for managing thermal expansions, designed to withstand the toughest operating conditions without any trace of corrosion.

Why the copper tank is the top choice for your solar system:

  • Immortal Copper Construction: Unlike common tanks, copper offers absolute protection against rust and corrosion, ensuring that the antifreeze fluid remains clean and the tank will never puncture.
  • Smart Pressure Management: Functions as an expansion chamber, absorbing the increase in fluid volume when the sun "burns," thus protecting the boiler and collectors from breakage.
  • Integrated Safety Valve Position: Features a special 1/2'' socket for installing a valve (1.5 - 3 bar), offering a complete protection system and easy access for maintenance.
  • Automatic Reset: As soon as the temperature drops, the fluid automatically returns from the tank to the circuit, keeping the antifreeze level stable without losses.
  • Easy Installation: With a standardized thread at the bottom for immediate and leak-proof connection to your solar tank.

Technical Specifications:

  • Material: 100% Copper (Incorrodible).
  • Type: Cylindrical Expansion Vessel.
  • Connection: Thread for solar tank.
  • Valve Socket: 1/2'' (suitable for valves 1.5 to 3 bar).
  • Application: Exclusively for closed circuits of solar water heaters.

All copper, so be careful with tightening during installation. Personally, I would have preferred better paint since this one peels off easily. Good capacity (0.9 liters), which I think is just what is needed. Installed on a 15-year-old Nobel solar heater, 160 liters, with 2 large Apollo panels, which all previous years worked flawlessly without a tank, without me ever checking/adding/renewing the water in the closed circuit. Logically, its level must have dropped, but I don't know by how much, because I didn't measure how much I removed, nor did I add any before I emptied it. I will return with a new comment at the end of summer/beginning of autumn, when I change the water again, because I put less antifreeze when installing the tank.

I haven't bought it but I think it is too small for a solar water heater, in very hot weather it definitely won't do the job, the safety switch will definitely trip. I think a solar water heater needs to be bigger. Someone who really knows should answer.

  • It is indeed copper. However, it needs attention because it is painted and the paint comes off with knocks. Also, it is sensitive due to the small thickness of the material. It got a dent without me realizing it.

The plumbers didn't tell us anything about needing this small Expansion Tank... I realized it was necessary after watching some related videos.

It is really copper, besides the fact that it does not magnetize - I scratched it a little in one spot - time will show its durability

It is copper and it is of very good quality at a very good price. Better than the market's stainless steel and other simply painted ones.
