The product is good overall. The only thing to keep in mind is which plug type you order — mine didn’t fit, so I had to use an adapter.

After about 4 years with the HomePod mini, I can't say that I regret buying them (I have 5).

The positives are:
The quality of the build but especially the sound.
Siri for the smart devices in the house.
Sensor for room temperature/humidity.
You can listen to the same music in every room.
You can listen to music in combination with another AirPlay speaker like Sonos.

The negatives:
They are not many watts and do not have strong bass.
Siri does not speak Greek...
The price should be 80-100 euros.

Negatives
1) You need to have an Apple Music subscription for it to take commands
2) Even if you have a subscription (which I do), it doesn't take commands for Greek songs and rarely for a specific track, meaning you have to say play this or that singer or request a foreign song... nothing like Spotify (which I also have a subscription for), which is by far better.
3) If you don't have internet (we had an outage in the neighborhood) it doesn't work, meaning you can't just throw a song via Bluetooth like you would with a simple €5 speaker. What irony that a €150 speaker can't do it but a €5 speaker can.
4) We will have to buy a second speaker from another brand, since quite often we might not have internet. *And with a weak signal it underperforms.

Excellent smart home hub and speaker! Excellent sound quality. Beautiful design. Easy to interact with Siri. I’ve been using it for several years already. It still looks and works like on the first day. I recommend it.
I just don’t understand why the price increased. I bought it for 99€ in Jan 2023. Since then Apple didn’t release any upgrades to this model. With time the price should go down but now it costs 134€

I've had it for 2 years. The sound quality is EXCELLENT!!! And the build is of high quality. In my opinion, it's very worth it! Especially if you have an iPhone and a subscription to Apple Home, it's very good. Also, you can tell Siri to play songs from Spotify, and it will play without needing the iPhone, only it will be with AirPlay, but that's good too! I would say that until 2025 it's worth it, or at least I wouldn't find a reason to replace it with another. The best thing is to get two and use them as speakers for music from TV, mobile, etc. Anyway, it's worth it!!!

I've had it for 2 years now. Nice speaker and connects well with devices of the same brand. On the downside, the fact that it wasn't supposed to be released in Greece (according to support) has caused me to have issues twice, and it doesn't connect to Apple's server. The problem comes and goes intermittently, but if you want it as a main hub in a smart home, it creates issues

It is perfect for music and voice commands, but the most important thing is the Thread it emits for connectivity with Matter devices

Excellent sound - impressive for its size. I got it for HomeKit and Matter for home automation.

Everything works correctly. I removed one star because if you activate Siri on this, Siri on the phone becomes less functional. If I tell my phone to call someone, it does so necessarily through the HomePod. This means that everyone in the house hears it, and if I want to change rooms, I can't...

And if I disable personal requests on the HomePod, instead of answering the phone, the HomePod answers again and now says it can't make calls without the personal requests option enabled.

I pseudo-solved it by setting the phone to listen for the command 'Siri' and the HomePod only to "Hey Siri." So if I want to address the phone only, I can.

If you have a third Siri device (iPad/MacBook), it essentially creates the same confusion.

A very useful gadget for anyone who has or wants to create an Apple ecosystem. Even more useful for anyone who uses Siri quite a bit.

Connected very easily with homekit. Very easy to set up. The sound is better than I expected. It was purchased mainly to function as a hub for my other smart devices. Very convenient to speak and open lights, heating.

DO NOT BUY IT!! continuous disconnection problems while listening to music to the point of frustration! I had also read other comments that it is a bad product but I didn't believe it, and I trusted the quality of this brand (it is very sturdy, with good materials) but the disconnection problems can drive you crazy! Amazing Device! It connected easily and has amazing sound quality.

I wanted to buy a speaker for a long time. I had seen many from JBL, which were too expensive. A friend of mine knows that I am an Apple user and recommended the HomePod to me. It's a great investment. It's a very powerful speaker, but it doesn't have a battery. It needs to be constantly plugged into the socket. It connects with Airplay to all Apple devices. The sound is loud, clear, and with good bass. When I heard its capabilities at full volume, I was shocked. It's not for parties, but it's definitely worth its money. It was purchased for 120€ in black color. One of the best purchases I have made.

Very good sound for the size of the speaker and easy to use with HomeKit, after a recent update it also has indicators for the humidity and temperature of the room.

Bimbelaki! I bought it to use as a hub for the Home App so that I can control the rest of the smart accessories I have and set up automations. Very good sound and nice bass.

Flawless and trouble-free connection (as expected) on Apple devices. I bought 2 and paired them. As for the music intensity, you can even throw a party, they don't back down! Happy user :)

Usefulness:
• It is ONLY recommended for those who are already in the Apple ecosystem and want to get deeper into it.
• If you have iPhone(s), HomeKit, Apple Music, AirTag(s) you will especially enjoy it.
• If you don't have the above, it will probably only be useful for AirPlay and talking to Siri.

Technical:
• Quality construction
• Sound better than you expect for its size
• Automation via HomeKit works flawlessly
• Apple devices discover and connect to it directly
• Most problems are solved simply by bringing the iPhone close (e.g. changing WiFi network).

Update:
It broke after 3 years.

Quite a good speaker both in terms of sound quality and size, and in terms of connectivity. I didn't find it quite responsive in commands, though, but that was purely a Wi-Fi issue since it connects through that and not Bluetooth. It has several functions besides the sound it offers, but only for Apple users, as I believe all Apple products are for such users due to the software. I don't know if any Android device could find it and play music through a familiar network because we don't have anything Android at home. However, I will check and get back to you.

Very good value for what it offers. Definitely not a speaker for music enjoyment, but for playback without many demands, it's great. It has a very nice design, functions as a transmitter for existing devices at home, and overall blends harmoniously in an environment with Apple devices.

The best thing in my opinion, I have connected Nanoleaf bulbs and lights, Meross LED strips, a Meross WiFi power strip that I charge with voice commands or automatically with shortcuts on my iPhone when the battery is between 25-85%. I also bought a second one in orange, which I found on sale for 89 euros and got a 25% refund. I grouped them together and both have perfect sound. With the 16.3 upgrade, you can also see room temperature and humidity

A positive: the sound for its size is decent.
Otherwise, it's not worth its money, especially if you live in Greece. Compatibility only with Apple Music, which is unthinkable when other devices have the ability to be compatible with everything. Apple, once again, demonstrates its monopolistic tactics, and their work on this particular product is unacceptable. These are the words of someone who owns a Mac, MacBook, iPad, AirPods, and Apple Watch.
Pure disappointment.

The only reason I don't give it a 5/5 but something that someone who will buy it should pay attention to, is that it cannot connect via classic Bluetooth but only through airplay, which is the standard way of connectivity in the Apple ecosystem, in other words using WiFi. This results in improper playback when the connection is slow. I don't even know if it works with any other device besides Apple that doesn't have airplay and that is bad in itself. Also, because I have it in the office, every time I approach it, it shows a connection indication, which is good only when you actually want to play something, not when it constantly shows it. Otherwise, it's a very cool speaker.

Quality. Powerful for its size. Worth it in combination with an Apple Music subscription where everything is available in lossless audio. Homepod mini and Apple Music lossless audio have very good quality. It combines very nicely with Apple TV.

update 14/04/23: Buying a second one is worth it. They connected with each other. They play anything together. Sound upgrade. Louder and higher quality sound. They play very nicely from Apple Music and Apple TV+. They cooperate very nicely with Apple TV and iPad devices, generally with the Apple ecosystem.
