Description

Horse chestnut is an important source of bioflavonoids and proanthocyanidins, known for their antioxidant properties. Its fruit is rich in tannins, flavonoids, starch, oil, as well as the glycosides aesculin and fraxin, substances that are extremely astringent and toning for the circulatory system.

Horse chestnut oil, extracted from the seeds of the fruit, is a traditional remedy for vein health.

It has a relieving effect on the blood vessels of the circulatory system, as it protects and strengthens the capillaries, enhancing blood flow and fluid exchange between cell membranes.

It relieves symptoms such as itching, pain, tingling, fatigue, and feelings of heaviness or coldness associated with poor blood circulation in the legs.

It is also beneficial in combating rheumatism, varicose veins, phlebitis, arteriosclerosis, as well as hemorrhoids.

It also helps reduce swelling (edema) after injury, especially in sports injuries or after surgery.

In recent years, the beneficial use of the oil in skin problems has also become evident, as it helps combat cellulite and skin aging.

Caution! The oil should not be used on cracked skin because the saponins it contains can cause irritation.

Horse Chestnut Oil can be used either alone or in combination with other carrier oils for even better results. Finally, it is important to know that carrier oils are essential in aromatherapy in order to serve as the "vehicle" to which essential oils will be added.
