Description & Specifications

George Orwell (1903-1950) was a fearless man throughout his life, who never joined any political orthodoxy, inherently self-critical.

Unlike many other respected essayists, he does not disdain any subject, he does not write only about the grand and the lofty, but about everything that happens around him and concerns his contemporaries. He does not have any kind of intellectual elitism.

Along with the great writers, he reads mediocre or insignificant ones, he reads leaflets and brochures, he honors, almost envies the good bad books, as he calls them, and for some of them he believes that they will last much longer than the works of many esteemed intellectual authors.

He writes texts about tea, bars, trains, flowers and gardens, about everything. He is a great writer, but he always keeps the journalist alive within him. He does not consider any topic of human coexistence unworthy of attention. He does not disdain anything that concerns the common man, he does not look down from above. He always has something important to say, even when the occasion is insignificant.
