This work presents a translation of Tertullian's Apology, an important text from the oldest Latin Christian literature.
The translation of the text follows the edition of Carl Becker, Tertullian Apologeticum, Munchen 1992, while the commentary is mainly based on the notes of Becker and T. R. Glover (Tertullian Apology, ed. Loeb Classical Library, 1998, vol. 250).
I hope this translation contributes to the familiarity of Greeks with the sources of Christianity and the broader understanding of the context in which Christianity encountered the Greco-Roman world.
