- With a brush, paint directly from the bottle
- For the airbrush, add thinner such as Humbrol Enamel Thinner
- It is preferable to apply 2 thin layers of paint rather than 1 thick one
- The most common dilution ratio is 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner
- It should be noted that colors with a Metalcote finish are designed to be polished after they are fully dry

Drying Times
- Gloss: 1-2 hours
- Matt & Satin: dry to the touch in 20-40 minutes and fully dry in 24 hours
- Metallics: fully dry in about 10 days
- Drying time will vary depending on temperature and humidity. It is recommended that the 2nd coat be applied after at least 6 hours.
