I recently started experiencing pain in my foot due to mild flatfoot combined with standing for long periods.
Many sites mentioned shoes with arch support, especially this model. After wearing them, I saw immediate improvement in the pain, but it didn't go away 100%.
The shoe is famous for such issues and has a good reputation for its durability over time.
The sole and the insole have a great thickness and absorb significant pressure. Much more than other famous shoes like the Kayano.
* It deserves an update. The pain went away after a while. It is very comfortable. The insole and sole are super. The only downside is that the back part of the shoe that touches the heel has a weak construction and it seems that it will be the first part to wear out.
* Another update. Since they get dirty at work, I started putting them in the washing machine (allowed by Skechers). After 7-8 washes, they show no signs of wear.
* Until I tried Skechers, I wore ASICS for my everyday use because I found them to be the most durable against wear. These specific Skechers surpass in durability both in the sole and the upper part (mesh) significantly compared to the Kayano, which are also much more expensive. (Always for everyday use, not for running). The only thing that wore out is the upper part at the heel because I put them on and take them off without untying the laces.
* 28-1-24 The shoes are still holding up despite the use and washes, except for the upper part at the heel.
* 27-6-24 Finally, after 2.5 years of wearing and many washes in the machine, the shoes started to fray on the surface as well as the insole. The sole hasn't "sunk" and continues to absorb weight. However, it has smoothed out a bit, causing them to slip on wet smooth surfaces like marble.
A sports shoe brand costing 60-70 euros lasted 2.5 years, which no other shoe (in this category) regardless of price has managed.
One more thing I want to note is that products change from year to year. Now I see on the Skechers site that they released the Arch Fit 2.0. I hope the new model hasn't changed too much from this one.
Πρόσφατα μου εμφανίστηκαν πόνοι στην πατούσα λόγο ελαφριάς πλατυποδίας σε συνδυασμό με ορθοστασία.
Πολλά site ανάφεραν παπούτσια με υποστήριξη καμάρας και ειδικά αυτό το μοντέλο. Αφού τα φόρεσα είδα άμεση βελτίωση στον πόνο αλλά δεν έφυγε 100%.
Το παπούτσι είναι διάσημο για τέτοια θέματα και έχει καλή φήμη για την αντοχή του στον χρόνο.
Η σόλα αλλά και ο πάτος έχουν μεγάλο πάχος και απορροφούν μεγάλες πιέσεις. Πολύ περισσότερο από άλλα διάσημα παπούτσια πχ. kayano.
* του αξίζει ένα update.
Ο πόνος έφυγε μετά από καιρό. Είναι πολύ άνετο. Ο πάτος και η σόλα σούπερ.
Το μόνο κακό είναι ότι το πίσω μέρος του παπουτσιού που ακουμπά στη φτέρνα έχει αδύναμη κατασκευή και από ότι φαίνεται θα είναι το πρώτο μέρος που θα χαλάσει.

Επειδή λερώνονται στη δουλειά άρχισα να τα βάζω στο πλυντήριο (επιτρέπεται από τη sketchers). Μετά από 7-8 φορές δε δείχνουν κανένα ίχνος φθοράς.
* Μέχρι να δοκιμάσω τα skechers φόραγα ASICS για την καθημερινότητα μου γιατί τα είχα βρει τα πιο ανθεκτικά ενάντια στη φθορά. Τα συγκεκριμένα Skechers ξεπερνούν σε αντοχή και στη σόλα και στο πάνω μέρος (πλέγμα) κατά πολύ πχ τα kayano που είναι και πολύ ακριβότερα. (πάντα για καθημερινότητα όχι για τρέξιμο). Το μόνο που χάλασε είναι το πάνω μέρος στη φτέρνα επειδή τα βάζω και τα βγάζω χωρίς να λύνω τα κορδόνια.
*28-1-24 τα παπούτσια αντέχουν ακόμα παρόλο τη χρήση και τα πλυσίματα, εκτός από το πάνω μέρος τις φτέρνας.
*27-6-24 τελικά μετά από 2.5 χρόνια φορέματος και πολλά πλυσίματα στο πλυντήριο τα παπούτσια άρχισαν να ξεφτίζουν επιφανειακά όπως και ο πάτος. Η σόλα δεν έχει "κάτσει" και συνεχίζει να απορροφά το βάρος. Όμως έχει λειάνει λιγάκι με συνέπεια να γλιστρούν σε βρεγμένες λείες επιφάνειες πχ μάρμαρο.
Αθλητικό παπούτσι μάρκας των 60-70ε άντεξε 2.5 χρόνια πράμα που κανένα άλλο παπούτσι (της κατηγορίας) ανεξαρτητος χρημάτων έχει καταφέρει.
Κάτι ακόμα που θέλω να σημειώσω είναι ότι από χρόνο σε χρόνο τα προϊόντα αλλάζουν. Τώρα βλέπω στο site της Sketchers ότι έβγαλε τα Arch Fit 2.0. Ελπίζω το καινούργιο μοντέλο να μην έχει αλλάξει και πολύ από αυτό εδώ.
