I’ve been wearing Birkenstock for many years and I’m a genuine fan. I’ve used Birkenstock Arizona and Birkenstock Boston for a long time, and they’ve always been extremely comfortable and reliable.
Based on that experience, I decided to try Birkenstock Bend Low for winter in Cyprus. I bought the correct size on January 7, 2026.
It’s important to mention that I actually tried them on in the store, and everything felt great at the time — they fit comfortably and didn’t cause any issues. I assumed that, like with my previous pairs, I would simply break them in over time.
However, the reality turned out differently. It’s been around 4 months now, but every time I wear them I still get discomfort and blisters on both feet in the same exact spots. The issue has not improved at all with time.
I contacted customer support to understand the cause and possible solutions. The only advice I received was “wear socks.” I always wear socks with my shoes, so this suggestion does not help in my case.
Honestly, this feels like a very generic support response that doesn’t take into account either individual foot shape or possible design issues with the model. It doesn’t really help in a real-world situation.
Just a warning for anyone considering this model: even if you’ve had great experiences with other Birkenstock models like Birkenstock Arizona or Birkenstock Boston, the Birkenstock Bend Low can behave very differently in actual daily wear, even if everything feels perfect in-store.
Make sure to test not just the fit, but also longer wear if possible — otherwise you might end up with persistent discomfort.
