The Botley coding educational toy by Learning Resources helps children learn basic concepts of logic and coding. It can be programmed to perform more than 80 actions, such as moving in different directions, detecting or avoiding objects, and repeating steps or sequences. This helps children develop analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving, spatial awareness, memory, concentration, and creativity.
Once a sequence has been programmed, the remote control sends it to the robot. A sensor on the underside helps it follow thick black lines, while the LED lights on top indicate its direction of movement. The toy is designed to complement school STEM activities, with experiments that connect science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to aspects of everyday life.
