Hexapod Explorer – a wooden mechanical spider robot from UGEARS. The Hexapod Explorer can walk up to 3 meters on its legs, without any auxiliary or supporting wheels. Its ability to lift its own weight allows it to move over rough terrain, just like a robotic exploration vehicle. It has various movement functions and can move slowly, crawl, or run at any speed. When it stops, you can see its legs come to life and move, just like an insect.

The Hexapod Explorer is a DIY model and is part of the family of robotic machines and wooden mechanical models from UGEARS. It can be built into a walking mechanical robot, without electronic components. The wooden model consists of 388 pieces and has a strong metal spring that drives the robot.

  • Traverses uneven surfaces and overcomes obstacles of 1-2 cm in height.

To move it, wind up the model, select the speed with the rotary switch, and activate it using the “go” switch.

    if you make a mistake and/or do not wax well and/or do not do proper sanding, you simply throw it away. as happened in my case. and this is because disassembly is practically impossible since the pieces tighten very much when you connect them.

    in short, the product is good but does not forgive mistakes.

    Just disappointment. The gears need good sanding with sandpaper and lubrication with the included stick in the box. Otherwise, it won't work. In my attempt to make it move, it broke. From a toy that would bring joy to my child, it ended up in the trash. Simply wasted money.
