Features

Decowax is a wax that can be used for the maintenance and protection of wooden surfaces. It is made using traditional methods based on a proven 60-year-old recipe. The interaction of pure turpentine, natural wax, and carnauba wax creates a natural sheen, texture, and color performance. It provides a protective layer and evens out small imperfections. This wax is highly suitable for maintaining furniture and floors or as a protective top layer over chalk paint.

Applying this wax offers a beautiful shine and removes surface spots and scratches.

It can be used to mellow bright colors and apply an antique patina. Additionally, the wax can be used to give raw wood a unique color effect.

Substrate

It adheres to a porous substrate, such as raw wood or a layer of porous paint, such as chalk paint. Before applying Decowax, a smooth layer of lacquer should be removed. Wood is a natural product; results and color may vary depending on the substrate.

Application

• Apply Decowax using a brush, sponge, or lint-free cloth. A brush may be convenient for carved or textured surfaces.
• Evenly spread the wax on the surface, and after fifteen to thirty minutes, wipe off the excess wax with a cloth, leaving only a thin, even layer. This allows the wax to penetrate the substrate.
• Let the remaining wax soak in and harden overnight, then firmly rub the wax layer. With polishing, the wax layer becomes smooth, strong, and hard, acquiring a soft sheen.

Finishing

A layer of wax does not require further finishing. However, it should be reapplied from time to time, and you should continue to maintain it with wax. The wax layer can easily be reapplied, either overall or locally.

Depending on the substrate and application method, the coverage is approximately 6 m2 per box.
