Monasteries, guardians of our faith, are not only places of worship, peace, contemplation, and prayer. They are sacred institutions, holy hiding places of self-denial.

Places where well-known, lesser-known, and unknown monks lived, they have been a "Ark" that preserved treasures of immeasurable value. During dark times, they were watchful eyes that saved our national consciousness, safeguarded the sacred and the cherished of the land, and kept our national heritage alive.

Workshops of education and refuges for the persecuted during the long period of slavery often became springboards for liberation struggles, and during the Revolution, many of them paid dearly for their participation in the fight for independence.
