Description

The dietary supplement Now Vitamin K2 is enriched with 300 mg of Alfalfa, a rich source of natural vitamin K. Alfalfa sprouts are rich in chlorophyll, vitamins, proteins, and are one of the richest foods in minerals.

Benefits

  • Vitamin K2 in the MK-4 (menaquinone-4) form is a biologically active form of vitamin K. The beneficial role of vitamin K2 in the synthesis of several blood-clotting factors is well known. However, scientific research has shown that vitamin K2 and the proteins that depend on it (e.g. osteocalcin) are vital for bone and blood vessel health.
  • Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting and the maintenance of normal bones.
  • In terms of its role in the bones, vitamin K acts as a “traffic controller” for calcium. In other words, it directs calcium toward the bones. This reduces calcium deposits in the blood vessels and helps prevent cardiovascular disease.

Dosage

  • Take 1 capsule daily with food.
  • Not recommended for individuals taking anticoagulant medications such as warfarin (Coumadin®) or heparin.

I had never taken this vitamin before, but I had been taking D3 for a while and a nutritionist friend told me that vitamin K is very important when taking vitamin D3 because it helps with proper absorption and prevents bone problems.

I can't notice any difference, but it is affordable and each tablet contains a sufficient amount of the vitamin.

Contains silicon dioxide (silica). The human body cannot break down silica. It is dangerous and toxic. I will not buy it again.

  • I rewrote my whole review because I made mistakes originally. K2 MK4 has its place in the market for people who cant tolerate MK7 form, which turns out to be me. Although that form is more effective if you get heart palpatations, breathing issues, lethargy, less Vo2 MAX etc. you are also in the same camp. Now the issue with this specific supplement is its criminally under dosed and MK4 form needs to be taken 2-3 times per day split to be as effective as mk7 as it only lives a few hours whilst MK7 stays many days. Minimum dose found in studies to be effective for MK4 is 500mcg whilst 5mg is the max benefit dose daily. You can quickly see how this amount in this supplements makes no sense but there actually arent enough competitors for this. MK7 is much cheaper and works as low as 50mcg with recommended for most at 180mcg and 360mcg max benefits daily.

  • Necessary for the absorption of vitamin D (which I am deficient in), in the recent exams the indicator finally went up!

  • It is a commendable product! Vitamin K, while not being one of the most "popular" vitamins, is essential for many processes in the body! I recommend it!!
