The smalto grip is a varnish - primer with very good adhesion to non-absorbent surfaces such as glass, tiles, enamels, aluminum, and marble.

Preparation:

The basic requirement for good results is careful preparation. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from defective or poorly cohesive materials, dust, oils, residues from soaps, shampoos, and salts. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned with a stiff brush and soap. After rinsing and drying well, a final degreasing should be done with a cloth soaked in solvent.

• New surfaces of glass, tiles, enamels, aluminum, and marble: On completely dry and clean surface, apply SMALTO GRIP. One coat is usually enough. Allow the surface to dry completely (12-24 hours). Apply 1 coat of POLYGLOSS and 1 coat of POLYGLOSS+ADDITIVE 640.
• Old surfaces of glass, tiles, enamels, aluminum, and marble: On completely dry and clean surface, apply SMALTO GRIP. One coat is usually enough. Allow the surface to dry completely (12-24 hours). Apply 1 coat of POLYGLOSS and 1 coat of POLYGLOSS+ADDITIVE 640.
• Old non-absorbent surfaces of tiles, enamels, and marble: In the case that we want to varnish our surface, apply 2 coats of SMALTO GRIP on completely dry and clean surface.

Usage:

• Stir well before use.
• To avoid bubbles during application, work in the shade as much as possible.
• Do not apply when the temperature in the air and on the surface is below 10°C, or when humidity levels are high.
• The time between two coats should not exceed 5 hours.
• The ambient temperature and the thickness of the coating determine the drying time.

Technical characteristics:

• Surface drying time: 1-2 hours.
• Recoating time: 24 hours.
• Coverage: 13-17m²/lt, depending on the thickness of each coat and the absorbency of the surface.
