Description

Description

This book aims to contribute to the study and teaching of post-Byzantine documents. It was first published in 2006 under the title "Paleography of Documents: Tables of Post-Byzantine Documents with Comments."

This new version, with a new title, is offered to interested parties as enhanced and improved in many aspects. Compared to the 37 documents in the previous edition, there are now 49 documents presented, of which 3 are in foreign languages.

The comments for each document have been modified, increased, and improved, and the bibliography has been expanded with the addition of editions and other relevant works. The post-Byzantine period to which the commented documents belong should be understood broadly, as it includes two documents dated before the Fall of Constantinople, which, along with a third document, form an interesting and unusual group of early Corfiot freedman documents, as well as five documents from the National Revival and the first Governor, which are highly useful for educational purposes.
