The idea behind the Eau De Magnolia Perfume 50ml started from a discussion between Carlos Benaïm and Frederic Malle. The topic of conversation that day was transparency, aimed at identifying ideas for a new type of "eau" or perhaps a "summer fragrance." Soon the discussion turned to Magnolia, a unique white blossom. The magnolia, with its large white petals, does not smell like a flower, but rather like a subtle citrus.
Carlos Benaïm is considered one of the most important perfumers in America. He discovered perfumery at a young age, through his father, who was a pharmacist in Morocco and had a passion for distilling essential oils. "Every summer," proudly states Carlos, "my father and I would drive around the countryside in our jeep to locate collection points for plants for distillation, and my excitement would peak." Following this, Carlos, under the guidance of the famous American perfumer Ernest Shiftan, gained a deep knowledge of fragrance composition.
