LEA 1823. Butterfly-style razor with a very good price at around 8.5 euros. Its quality is good, not bad, not top compared to Wilkinson Sword of course, but it is good and provides a close shave. However, it requires some attention in the beginning for someone who is not familiar with this type of shaving, as it can be a bit aggressive. It is more aggressive than the Feather, which is much milder from what I have seen (I have been using the Feather for many years). All of these, if you get used to them and develop the right habits, have no issues and provide a very good and economical shave. The secret to this type of shaving is preparation, rubbing well and softening the beard with warm water before shaving. I either rub with warm water directly (I heat water in an electric coffee kettle that I have) or with a small towel soaked in warm water, rubbing the beard. Then, I use shaving cream in a bowl and a good lathering on the beard with the brush (I use a small amount of NIVEA shaving cream, as much as a pea, I have found it to be the most economical) and a boar bristle brush (I have been using the OMEGA 10049 for several years). And I have been having great and economical shaves for many years. I have been using these razors for 30+ years, and their secret is the good softening of the beard before shaving and then lathering with the brush. As I mentioned before, each one of these razors requires a few shaves (a period of time) to get used to them. And no rush, this type of shaving does not require haste, at about a 30-degree angle, and they all shave just fine. I have never shaved against the grain, it is not necessary, one pass and done, and I have never used any special oils, special soaps, pre-shave, or anything. It is not needed. And in the end, rinsing with cold water on the face to close the pores, and a good wipe of the razor and the machine with the towel, to prevent salt buildup over time and to prevent the razors from rusting (although I have never seen any rusting as they say). I use either the Astra green, or the Gillette, or the BIC Astor, all are very good razors. I comfortably get 6-7 shaves with all of them, I shave every other day and I have a tough beard

It is a TTO (butterfly) razor, most likely made in China, simply bearing the brand name. Let's get to the basics, the blades have the name Lea on them, but as soon as you remove the wrapper, you will see that it contains 10 Prime Platinum blades from Dorco. These are very good, if not exceptional, blades.

As I mentioned earlier, the razor is Twist To Open, meaning that you twist the bottom part to open and close the head. The mechanism seems to have no issues and operates smoothly. Also, I did not notice any problems with alignment and curvature of the blade on the head. Personally, I had no issues with both the aforementioned blades (2 trials) and a SuperMax Stainless blade, although it felt slightly aggressive in all 3 trials. The setup was the same for all 3 trials, except for the blade. The rest included Tcheon Fung Sing "Ciotola Gialla" shaving soap and Williams Aqua Velva aftershave lotion.

I measured the weight at 61g and the overall length at around 11cm, with a handle length of about 10cm.

Considering the price, including the blades, it is a fairly decent choice.
