It does indeed encourage animals to drink much more water. Especially for my big cat, it was a lifesaver as he has idiopathic cystitis.

The construction is quite flimsy. Unfortunately, from the beginning, the "lid" needed quite a bit of pressure in order to start releasing water as shown in the photo. The electric mechanism that "lifts" the water could be stronger for better flow. After about three months of use, it burned out. When the water had drained quite a bit, the noise was quite annoying.

If you want to test whether the animals will go to a fountain, it is okay to buy it.

Personally, I have thought about buying it again since I have 4 boxes of filter stock and its price is in line with its quality. Only for that, though.

The pump broke in 10 days. Poor construction. The USB power adapter is not included. Overall... get something else.

For its price, it's good. I had one that just ran water like a little fountain which my pet loved, but the pump broke for the third time so I was forced to get this one. My pet doesn't drink with the same appetite from this and it's also huge and quite heavy. It seems like a big waste of water when changing it.

Now, regarding the pump, I think it needs a good cleaning which can be achieved by disassembling it and soaking it in vinegar. At some point, it will definitely give out, but it's not worth buying just the pump from Greece, you might as well go straight for a new fountain.

Our cat goes crazy drinking compared to the regular water bowl, very good purchase, but be careful because the pump can get clogged by food and will break quickly. We have been using it for over 1.5 years. It works perfectly. You need to maintain it from hair and limescale, with a good wash once a week. Even without a filter, it works great. The fountain works well,and is quiet. The only problem is that the cable is to short and I have to put the fountain on a thick book so it can reach the electric outlet. This is the third time I've ordered this product, the previous times the cable was long enough.It doesn't look that great,but it works.

It has been working non-stop for 4 months now. It does its job. Now, whether your cat will use it, no one knows. Mine acts like she doesn't use it. When I'm around, she goes and drinks water from her classic bowl. I've caught her about 5 times in total drinking from the fountain. Of course, the water level drops and I refill it, so she must be drinking from there too, it can't just be evaporating.

Personally, I just bought a new pump because it is still more economical than the higher quality ones and it is intended for another use, so I am not so concerned about the quality. However, it is good for those who want it for a pet to know that the purchase is a risk and it may not even be functional straight out of the box. I understand that the price is very low for such a product, but still, it should at least work, even if it breaks after three months, for example.

Perhaps the best purchase I have made lately, especially in terms of value for money. It has been working perfectly for a month now and the cat drinks water only from this! Of course, ours prefers to drink without the white cover that forces the flow downwards, so if someone wants, they can try that too.

It does its job. After a while, the pump got clogged with muck and makes a bit more noise. I now use it without a filter with frequent water changes and cleaning.

It's been 2 months since I got it. We are satisfied. And my cats have been drinking more water since then. It's worth it. And the price is just fine for the quality.
