Accurate measurement depends on the sensor’s contact with the body and the time required for the measurement site.

• Oral (≈ 8 sec): Avoid hot or cold food and drinks for 10 minutes beforehand. Place the sensor under the tongue, to the left or right of the base, ensuring good contact. Keep your mouth closed and breathe through your nose.
• Rectal (≈ 8 sec): Use a suitable sensor cover and lubricant. Carefully insert the sensor approximately 1–2 cm, without applying pressure.
• Armpit (at least 5 minutes): The armpit must be dry. Place the sensor in the center of the armpit, in direct contact with the skin, and hold your arm firmly against your body. Wait at least 5 minutes, even if the audible signal sounds sooner.

Important: The 8 sec indication applies to fast body temperature measurement using the methods specified in the instructions for use. A longer wait is required for armpit measurements. For bath water and ambient temperature, use the corresponding mode rather than the body temperature measurement instructions.
