The Ultrafix Thermo reinforced adhesive is a cement-based adhesive suitable for bonding thermal insulation boards. Its reinforced composition contains polymeric resins that give it high adhesion to substrates such as concrete, mortar, bricks, or cement blocks, as well as the necessary flexibility required for its applications.

Applications:

ULTRAFIX THERMO is suitable for external thermal insulation systems of buildings. It offers high bonding capacity and is suitable for bonding thermal insulation boards on building facades, as well as their plastering in combination with the DS-4160 thermal facade reinforcement mesh from DUROSTICK.

Instructions for Use:

Surface Preparation:
The application surface must be flat, clean, free from loose areas, dust, and oils. Highly absorbent surfaces are dampened or primed with the micro-molecular stabilizer (primer) AQUAFIX from DUROSTICK, which stabilizes them and creates ideal adhesion conditions with the substrate.

Application:

• We empty the powder into approximately 6.5 liters of clean water, mixing with a low-speed drill. We let the mixture mature for 5-10 minutes and periodically mix without adding additional water.
• On flat surfaces: We apply the adhesive on the thermal insulation board, comb it evenly over its entire surface, and place it on the wall.
• On non-flat surfaces: We apply the adhesive around the perimeter with a trowel on the thermal insulation board and spot it on the rest of its surface. We place the board on the wall and apply pressure on its surface to ensure safe and uniform contact of the adhesive with the substrate. In order to ensure the flatness of the surface of the bonded thermal insulation boards, leveling is required. At least 24 hours later, depending on the size of the building, we install plastic plugs.
• Application as reinforced plaster: We apply a thin layer of adhesive, approximately 8-10mm thick, on the entire surface using a notched trowel, and embed the DUROSTICK DS-4160 thermal facade reinforcement mesh in it. Finally, we smooth the surface with the trowel. After the material has fully cured, we plaster the surface with the flexible water-repellent plaster HYDROSTOP PLASTER ELASTIC with a smooth or textured finish, or the silicone-based waterproof paste HYDROSTOP SILICONE PLASTER, or the acrylic-based paste HYDROSTOP ACRYLIC PLASTER.

Consumption: As an adhesive: 2.5-4kg/m², depending on the trowel and the substrate.
As a covering layer: 1.5kg/m²/mm to cover the fiberglass mesh.
