In 1946-1947, Matsi Chatzilazarou was in Paris. She left with the legendary ship "Mataroa" in December 1945, along with the cream of young artists, writers, thinkers, and scientists, on a scholarship from the French government.
Andreas Empeirikos, with whom she lived married until 1943, provided her with letters of recommendation to meet French surrealists and psychoanalysts. And Matsi writes to him about these meetings, her experiences, and her impressions of Paris, which is being reconstructed after the war.

The previously unpublished letters of Matsi are accompanied by 4 exceptional, unknown poetic writings of hers and 3 French poems by Andreas Empeirikos from the same period, as well as rich unpublished photographic material where the couple photographed each other in 1940 and 1945.
