This volume publishes the proceedings of the 44th Panhellenic Conference of the Greek Association of Procedural Law Experts held from September 5-8, 2019. The Administrative Council of the Association selected a particularly debated topic from the Law of Remedies, specifically concerning appeals.

Additionally, the volume includes the three sessions during which critical issues were discussed, such as the appeal as the main substantive stage (presented by Mr. Apostolos Sofialidis, Associate Professor of Civil Procedure at the University of Thessaloniki), the majority of cases in appellate litigation (presented by Ms. Chrysoula Michailidou, Lawyer in Athens, D.N.), and the prohibition of worsening the appellant’s position (presented by Mr. Dimitrios Bampiniotis, Associate Professor of Civil Procedure at the University of Thrace).
