Description

A premium malt whisky with sweet and fruity notes. On the nose, aromas of vanilla, coconut, and pineapple dominate, while on the palate, ripe pear, peach, more intense vanilla, and floral elements prevail. It harmoniously combines the strong character of the Yoichi distillery, with smoky and salty elements, and the elegance of the Miyagikyo distillery. The finish, with the intensity of charred oak, strongly reminds us of the character of Japanese malts. A premium whisky that pays tribute to the creator of Japanese whisky, Masataka Taketsuru, the first person to create Japanese whisky. With extensive experience in distilling Scottish malt, he opened his own distillery in 1933 with the aim of creating his own premium Japanese whisky.

Fan but not a connoisseur, so don't expect details like a taster... It has a very nice aroma and aftertaste, I would like a bit more peat (as a fan of smoky flavors) and indeed it gives more aromas if you dilute it with a little water (be careful, not a one-to-one ratio, that would be a shame...). It doesn't burn on swallowing but it's not bland either. I bought it at 60 with the discount, but even at 70+ I would still say it's worth the money

I am an amateur lover of whisk(e)y, I really liked this blend with the heavy name, especially the smooth smoky sensation it leaves, sweet and pricey for Greece but still worth it.

I am not an expert in explaining in detail. The only thing I know is that having tried Irish, Scottish, American, and Japanese whiskey, single malted or blended, this is my favorite by far. It doesn't "burn" like some others. It is smooth and you can feel that it is not tasteless or like "water" in its composition. I'm sorry I can't describe it accurately, but it is undoubtedly a top whiskey. The only negative is that we find it for 50+ € while in Japan you can find it for 20-25
