You control Joseph Turok, a Native American warrior on a mission to hunt down a rogue military corporation of which he was once a member. What you will mainly do in the game is fight dinosaurs, giant scorpions, flies, and lizards. It turns out that the planet is essentially a strange laboratory where the evolution of species has taken a different path.

At your disposal, you have a fairly large arsenal consisting of a pulse rifle, a shotgun, a rocket launcher, and more. At any given time, you can only have two weapons, but you can simultaneously hold several weapons with both hands.

In the game, there are several moments where you are called to quickly press a specific button to perform a specific action, such as breaking a small dinosaur's back over your knee or climbing onto a larger dinosaur and stabbing it in the head with your knife. These scenes are so well designed that you will never stop enjoying them.

Turok's story is very well structured and will keep you in suspense throughout the game, and when you finish it, there is a multiplayer mode that is very entertaining and has several different types of games, such as the well-known deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the flag. What adds a special beauty to the gameplay is that there are several random events that change the course of the game, such as sudden dinosaur attacks. Additionally, there are several missions that you can play cooperatively with up to three of your friends, in which the action is much more intense than in single-player mode, as the number of dinosaurs is multiplied.

Overall, Turok is a very good game for action fans that has a lot to offer, and those who loved the old games in the series will not be disappointed.
