Description

If you do not question at least once in your life even the ideas that are imprinted in your mind as the most positive and non-negotiable issues for you (such as, for example, the value and the place of man in the Universe, the religions, which supposedly provide all the answers (!), the ideologies, the marriage, which is considered a social validation – while eight out of ten married people worldwide separate or cheat – the political systems and the educational system, which either breeds fools or simply offers some training and not education), then, although you may feel that you are faithfully following the achievements of previous generations, in reality, you will be living without thinking.

From the very first pages, the reader embarks on a journey that holds many surprises. It is a journey that confronts us with the great illusions that characterize our culture.

An excellent read for those contemplating our existence and its meaning.. if we ever come to know it. Being well-crafted and understandable, I believe that through the process of thinking and the questions it raises, it can touch and awaken many pieces within any searching soul.

  • The truth is that I expected this book to be a bit more complex and perhaps I was afraid of it to some extent. I mean I was afraid of whether it would be understandable, because for someone like me who has not dealt with subjects like the universe or astrophysics, for example, there might have been difficulties in understanding at some points.
Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised that it was very simple, in a good way, structured and completely understandable, with quite detailed examples and references, which made it easy to read.
I highly recommend it to anyone who wants something different from the ordinary, simple and fully understandable, which will definitely give them food for thought for a long time.

  • Reading the book titled "A Beast in Clothes," I wanted to tell you that I found it very interesting. It kept me in suspense from beginning to end. It briefly refers to the history of humanity without being at all tiresome, and at the same time, it teaches you things about history that you would rarely learn elsewhere and in such a concise manner. Additionally, the book shows you how easily manipulated humans can be and the harm they can do, thinking they are doing the right thing because someone planted it in their minds! Truly an amazing book, and I will definitely read it again to better internalize the final chapter where the ultimate conclusions about what we ultimately are are drawn.

  • An excellent book that those who do not read it miss a huge opportunity to rethink what we are... Very good coherence, very nice flow of chapters, tremendous writing and use of the Greek language, it doesn't tire you. You can't wait to read the next chapter! Harsh truths about the human species that we won't read anywhere else! Personally, I also liked the fact that I read significant historical events that I didn't know (e.g. in the section "human sacrifices"). The chapters "Human Sacrifices," "Slavery," "Wars" at least should be taught in universities! Excellent work, we look forward to the next installment with anticipation!

  • This book came to provoke and enlighten the reader on the question of reflection that crosses everyone's mind from time to time: How did we get to today? Why is the world going from bad to worse?

The author made me feel like he had the answers, and since I am not fully informed about the historical events of the past, the book led me step by step to the destination of this journey for the dosage of the answer to the question on the back cover, "What are we humans after all?"

The author's reflections became my own reflections, but in a positive way, resulting in the realization of the existence of choice on our part. The book is not lacking in humor, while the realism of the writing gives the feeling of a "conversation" with a good and knowledgeable friend.

It shook me in many points, and finishing it, I have only good things to say.
Finishing the reading of the book, the phrase of N. Kazantzakis came to my mind: "To say I will save the world. If it is not saved, I will be to blame," as it highlights the necessity of change in our world.
