Extremely drought-resistant species that spreads both by stolons and rhizomes after establishment. It goes dormant in winter and regenerates in spring. It can be used for the construction of all types of lawns, mainly for public use, due to its high resistance to harsh environmental conditions (little watering, brackish water, high temperatures, trampling resistance). It requires low mowing and frequent thinning with vertical cuts.
