    relatively heavy shoe due to gore tex and reinforced plastic on the upper. Ideal for hiking, not for running. I have worn them on two long hikes on Olympus with snow, mud, and rocks. Very good grip and shock absorption. Reinforced material throughout the shoe, the size is as expected.

    The little brother of the ultra raptor, the akyra is a tank shoe, for difficult rocky and muddy trails. It has a goretex lining that makes them completely waterproof, so you have nothing to fear. Perhaps its only drawback is that it is a bit heavy shoe, but you get used to it after some training. Lasportiva and mountains go together.
