This book serves as a supplementary aid to the school textbook "Topics in Modern Greek History" for the third grade of Unified Lyceum in the theoretical direction. Therefore, it is fully based on this school textbook, both in terms of content and structure, as well as the way the topics of Modern Greek History are addressed. Consequently, the views and judgments on the events presented here are those of the authors of the school textbook.

The objectives of this effort are twofold. Firstly, to help students learn and understand the material of the History course for the theoretical direction, so that they are capable of handling any topic, difficult or easy, in the Exams. Secondly, to assist the teachers who teach this course and support them in their work.

The topics of modern Greek history presented in the school textbook are divided into parts. Each part is divided into sections, and each section into chapters, as in the school textbook.

At the beginning of each part, there is a brief introduction to the topic presented in that part. This introduction corresponds to the introduction in the school textbook. At the end of each part, after its sections with their respective chapters have been presented, there is a general conclusion. There is also a chronological table of the main events of that part, evaluation criteria, and, of course, a bibliography.
