It is with great satisfaction and joy that we present the 3rd Edition of the book "PATHOLOGY" from the Department of Pathology of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). This edition continues a successful tradition of the Department of Pathology, specifically of the 2nd Pathological Clinic, initiated by Professor Emeritus Mr. S. Chatzigianis in 2002 and continued by the late Professor A. Archimandrite in 2009.

In the current 3rd edition of the Textbook, significant effort has been made to reduce the number of pages and to add more diagrams, algorithms, and images, so that the Textbook fulfills the goals that were initially set: to provide the best possible, practical, and contemporary knowledge of Pathology to medical students. At the same time, we believe that this new edition will also be useful for residents or specialized Pathologists or physicians of other specialties seeking a modern reference book in Internal Pathology.
